Dr Vijay did his MBBS from Govt Medical College Mysore (MMC), one of the oldest and prestigious institution in the country.
Had bright academics during medical training. Stood first in Physiology, Preventive Medicine and Internal medicine at medical school. Developed interest in Internal Medicine since then.
He secured rank 12 in postgraduate entrance and completed his MD Internal Medicine from prestigious Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute (associated Govt. Victoria & Bowring- lady Curzon Hospitals Bangalore)

Gontrand López-Nava is a leading Spanish physician who specializes in endoscopic techniques for obesity treatment. Dr Vijay underwent short term training in Endoscopic bariatrics (Sleeve gastroplasty) under his guidance at HM Sanchinarro University Hospital, Madrid, Spain.
During the pandemic he was actively involved in managing COVID patients.
He later moved to Lucknow as a consultant at Globe Medicare, Lucknow- one of the Lucknow’s oldest and leading gastro- liver care hospital in private sector.
He mastered advanced endoscopic techniques like ERCP, EUS (endoscopic ultrasound- diagnostic and therapeutic), Cholangioscopy (Spy Scopy) etc.
He is actively involved in Hepatobiliary interventions via advanced endoscopic methods and continues to learn & update his skills till date.
Physical activity isn’t just some exercises and stretches. It is a disciplined way of life.
Your beliefs don’t make you a better person but your behavior does. Dr Vijay strongly believes in the phrase “practice what you preach or don’t preach at all”.
Dr Vijay learnt Patanjali yoga under Master T Veerabhadrappa in Tumkur in 1999, since then he has been practicing Yoga for more than 20yrs and relishing its physical and mental benefits.

Dr Vijay is passionate about running and has completed several half marathons and full marathons. A simple and great tool for building digestive and mental health. He was a part of India’s largest running club – JJ s and continues to run daily as a part of his morning workout.
He is involved in teaching Medicine & Gastroenterology to many postgraduates through online platforms.
He is a passionate wildlife photographer, mountaineer, artist and does long distance motorcycle trips.
